Position: Community and Social Media Manager

Position time: Full Time Employee (Monday-Friday)

Location: Downtown New Westminster, BC

We’re looking for a creative, hard working, eco-conscious and yoga-loving person to join our team. The Community and Social Media Manager will aid in executing the company’s marketing strategy, primarily in the areas of digital and social media. This person will be responsible for Inner Fire’s media and communications. This role will report to the Creative and Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Help to execute company’s marketing strategy
  • Manage social media platforms, i.e: daily engagement with potential customers and leads through social media (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter)
  • Create and execute email marketing campaigns, as well as opt-ins and other digital collateral
  • Maintain and manage Inner Fire blog and guest/ambassador submissions
  • Manage and maintain Inner Fire Luminary Ambassador program
  • Help coordinate photo and video shoots, special events and festival logistics
  • Maintain and develop strategic partnerships (social media outreach, influencers, affiliates, bloggers, etc)
  • Understand marketing trends, including social media, digital advertising and SEO
  • Write copy for website, press releases, launches, etc.
  • Manage contests, giveaways, and other marketing campaigns
  • PR and media outreach
  • Support sales team with media resources
  • Research tools and software to help facilitate company’s marketing strategy
  • Provide customer service where needed
  • Support other staff with office tasks if needed

Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications. Or an acceptable combination of both education and related experience
  • Works well in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with finite deadlines
  • Strong writing and copy writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of the yoga industry
  • Good eye for design/layout
  • Experience with Shopify e-commerce platform and Adobe Software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
  • Creative mindset
  • Photography and graphic editing skills an asset
  • Experience with project management software an asset
  • Quick learner who can easily adapt to new situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

Lead Apparel Designer

Position: Lead Apparel Designer

We’re looking for a creative, hard working, eco-conscious and yoga-loving person to join our team. The Lead Apparel Designer will be responsible for developing new products, overall sourcing, production, fit, grading and construction of our line of yoga clothing. This role will report to the CEO.

This role is for someone who seeks the challenge of being a one-person textile design department for a small but growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the creative strategy for new products, from concept to creation to bulk production
  • Execute design of new styles to add to our current collection
  • Responsible for fitting, measurements, construction and grading from initial proto sample to final production
  • Communicating with domestic production vendors to ensure the best quality and on-time production
  • Coordinate sourcing, ordering and inventory management of raw materials and shirt blanks
  • Ensures costs of production are managed and reduced if possible
  • Analyze trends, stay on the cutting edge of construction techniques, textile performance, new developments in apparel manufacturing
  • Review and measure prior performance in order to incorporate key learnings into next season’s strategy
  • Study sales, returns data and customer feedback to improve the fit, quality and styling of products
  • Liaise with pattern designers on preparation of print files
  • Assist the Creative and Marketing director on the styling of lookbooks, line sheets and other marketing materials.
  • Collaborate on the design and esthetic on our lines of printed graphic tops and leggings
  • Support other staff with office tasks if needed

Core Competencies

  • Completion of a college degree or art school program in design or related field. Or an acceptable combination of both education and related experience
  • 3+ years of industry experience in technical garment design in developing retail apparel brands
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patterns and textiles required
  • Possesses excellent skills in Adobe and design software
  • Textile graphic design experience an asset
  • Works well in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with finite deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of the yoga apparel industry
  • Good eye for design and art
  • Creative mindset
  • Quick learner who can easily adapt to new situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
