More about the festival:
An off-shoot of the hugely popular Wanderlust Festival, Wanderlust 108 is a “mindful triathlon”that brings three events together in Louise McKinney Riverfront Park: a 5k run, an outdoor yoga experience led by Californian’s Eoin Finn and Edmonton’s own Myrah Penaloza, and a guided meditation led by Vancouver-based Kate Potter. Triathletes will also enjoy the beats of a talented DJ, and other surprises throughout the day. But here’s the twist. Unlike most triathlons, Wanderlust 108 places community above competition, inner peace above power, and self-awareness above strength. Come out on August 29 and Find Your True North!
It’s really important that we fuel our bodies the right way and boost our mood and energy naturally instead of turning to caffeine and sugar-filled snacks. While they might give you a temporary hit, they won’t do your body any good in the long run; they will only slow you down and leave you even more tired!
There is wide variation in women’s and men’s bodies; some women will have a narrower pelvis than the average man and some men will have more flexible joints than the average woman. However, there are significant differences between the average female and average male body.
